POLICE OFFICER

The Lone Peak Public Safety District, Highland/Alpine Police Department is currently accepting applications for the position of Police Officer. The Department has two (2) immediate openings, and anticipates additional positions in the near future.

Starting salary level for full time positions is $18.53/hour ($38,541 Annual) and includes an extensive and generous comprehensive benefits package. The Department is looking for applicants who are committed to community oriented policing and are career minded in the field of law enforcement. Applicants must be Utah P.O.S.T. certified /certifiable or be currently enrolled in P.O.S.T. and possess a valid Utah State Drivers License, or the ability to obtain one. The testing processwill consist of written and oral examinations, drug testing, extensive background investigation, medical examination, as well as a psychological evaluation. Officers will be expected to perform a variety of tasks using law enforcement procedures to protect and maintain the well being of the communities of Highland and Alpine.
